Regional center, coach and admin hierarchy, national rollout
An athlete's career lived in disconnected pieces
Athletes in Croatia's national sport programme had their sporting data, education, employment and injury history spread across clubs, schools, medical providers and paper forms, with no single institution able to see the whole picture or connect them to the right support.
No shared profile connecting an athlete's sport, education, employment and injury history
No structured way for athletes to request expert or medical support from partner institutions
Regional centers, coaches and administrators had no shared system to coordinate a national programme
Onboarding needed to run at national scale while staying GDPR-compliant from day one
One athlete profile, one path to expert support
We built a multi-role platform where every athlete registers once - sport, training and competition load, education, employment and injury history - and can request help directly from a catalog of partner institutions and experts, all coordinated through a national hierarchy of regional centers, coaches and administrators.
Full athlete profile
Sport classification (including Olympic status), weekly training and competition load, education, employment and injury history in one record.
Partner and expert service directory
Athletes browse partner institutions and their service catalog, and submit help requests directly to the right provider.
Coach oversight
Coaches manage their own athletes' profiles and progress from a dedicated dashboard.
Regional center hierarchy
Centers, admins, leads and a super-admin layer coordinate the programme nationally without collapsing into one flat user list.
GDPR-first onboarding
Registration and consent flows built to run at national scale from day one.
How athlete support was reshaped
Sport, education, employment and health support moved from disconnected paper trails into one profile per athlete, coordinated nationally.
Athlete profile
Before
Scattered across clubs, schools and medical providers
After
One shared profile per athlete
Sport, education, employment and injuries are visible in one place.
Requesting expert support
Before
No structured channel
After
Direct help requests to partner institutions
Athletes reach the right expert without going through informal channels.
Programme coordination
Before
Manual, office-based, per region
After
Shared hierarchy: centers, coaches, admins, leads
A national programme runs on one connected structure.
Registration and consent
Before
Ad hoc
After
GDPR-compliant onboarding by design
Every registered athlete's data is collected under a consistent, compliant flow.
National programme coordination without a bigger back office
One platform, national reach
a single system coordinates athletes, coaches, partners and centers across the country
Administrative time reclaimed across regional centers
estimated staff time saved by replacing office-based coordination with one shared system
50,000 – 199,999 €
Payback period
Realised as the programme scaled across regional centers
Method
Comparison of manual, per-region coordination before vs. the connected platform after
Confidence
Medium - based on process comparison, not an audited financial report
This is a public-institution athlete-support programme - impact is measured in coordination reach, not commercial revenue.

“An athlete used to be a file at their club, another file at school, and a phone call away from a doctor. Now it's one profile, and one request gets them to the right expert.”
